Promised Land State Park, Pennsylvania

We wanted to come to this park partly because the name was so inviting.  It turned out to be a really nice state park, one of the best on the eastern side of the US so far.

The afternoon we arrived the weather cleared after a horrid overcast day. The park is on a lake and we did what we often do, go around the lake, this one being a 6 mile bike ride.   Later on we had a campfire from the wood provided by the rangers and enjoyed a lovely sunset.

The next day alas it was overcast, foggy and raining again.
