The beginning of our US trip

In the blink of an eye we have been transferred from inner city Budapest, Hungary  (pop 1,740,041) to the rustic charms of Tehachapi, California (pop 14,630).  We spent the last four months in Europe, mainly in the Netherlands and Hungary with small side trips around there.  Now we are here to begin our year long road trip in the US.

The printed blog book of our European part of this trip.  We can gaze at it to bring back memories of beautiful city buildings, trams, concerts and the good times we had there.

Introducing Tiger our motor home which we have not yet fully paid for, but almost.  However we have taken up residence in it and it is currently parked in the equestrian community camping ground in Tehachapi where the vendor lives.  We are organising the paperwork that is necessary for the purchase, insurance, etc.

And just to prove what a small world this is, the vendor is a Jewish woman of Hungarian descent.  There is a feeling of "it was meant to be".

Here we are in front of our home-to-be for the next year.
