We are enjoying this road trip. We do quite a lot of free camping or at other times we camp at national parks.
This camp fire took a long time to get going. We are free camping somewhere in the forest near Cedar City.
After the effort of getting the fire going Andrew is relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine.
Christening our new baby Weber BBQ at Bryce Canyon RV park. My friend Vernon introduced me to this wonderful little barbecue and as well as having one at home in Canberra, my friends Judith and Robert also had to get one after they saw mine. Now we have bought one for this trip - this one is without legs and it just fits in one of the outside carrying compartments to be brought out as the need arises. In the US free gas barbecues as we know them in Australia are unknown in national parks. They still use the old wooden barbecues, chewing up their natural resources.
Andrew made me a toasting rack similar to one we had in Tara back in OZ. They don't seem to sell these very practical small camping toasters, only a larger more inefficient one.
Nikki at Capitol Reef and the RVs waiting down at the carpark.
Wildfires break out again in the American west. I think your cute Barbie looks a lot safer than Andrew's big log fire. See we are still reading your blog and looking at the pictures.
