Korcula

And here we are on Korcula.  Hvar is the more famous, and known as the party island. Korcula is more laid back and many people advised us to go to it rather than the more touristy Hvar. Korcula is about 40 kms in length and we drove from one end to the other and stayed one night.  The view from the ferry of the old town as we arrive.

We drove to Pupnatska Luka which is a lovely bay with a looooong winding road down to it, to have another picnic lunch.  While it is warm, we haven't had the urge to go swimming as yet.

Driving along to another township on the island.

A view of the old town from the other side.  We got accommodation on the esplanade opposite the old town.

A tiny town beach along the esplanade.

The entrance to the old town.  You can of course access it from various different side streets but this is the official formal entrance.

Venetian arch in a narrow side street.
