The hotels on the tour are all four star hotels and have all been very nice. The Eldora Hotel at Hue where we arrived late this evening is the most sumptuous with a claw bath in the marbled bathroom.
You can see into the bathroom from our room.
We always have a room with three beds in it and we take turns getting the most comfortable bed with the reading light.
This hotel too has a rooftop pool but this time indoors. Bigger than the one in Saigon but the outside pool there was something special. Sitting in it and gazing out over Saigon was a very special experience.
Earlier today, before our arrival at Hue, we spent the morning looking around the Cai Rang floating market at the back branch of the Mekong River.
We then visited the Bun Tau Noodle factory where Janet had a go at picking up the tapioca/rice pancake like flat sheet from which the rice noodles are made. The flat sheets are laid out to dry for hours.
Once dried, they are put on the machine which slices them into the noodles.
Dried fish at the local market.
A selection of fruits at the orchard we visited.
On our last night at Hue we walked around the harbour and took a photo of the well known seafood restaurant which is lit up at night with the colours constantly changing. The building looks like a lotus flower in bloom.
